Dr. Iman Adibnazari received the Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and M.S. in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of California San Diego. He holds over 10 years of experience engineering next-generation technologies across the full robotics technology stack—from designing electromechanical hardware and embedded systems, to developing software for autonomy, control, and artificial intelligence. Alongside his technical expertise, Dr. Adibnazari has several years of experience analyzing emerging markets and policy around robotics and AI, and has contributed to critical efforts guiding the development of such technologies, including the 2024 United States Robotics Roadmap.
Dr. Adibnazari’s professional interests focus on leveraging emerging technologies to advance the capabilities of physical AI systems, better enabling their deployment and utility. As such, he has worked on a broad range of technologies, including medical devices, industrial robots, wearable devices, and autonomous vehicles for sea, land, and air. His work has appeared in leading international journals and conferences, and has been recognized by awards including the Henry Booker Award for Exemplary Ethical Engineering. He aims to expand Eridan’s reach into the domains of robotics and physical AI, where they can address a fundamental barrier to the proliferation of robotic systems—wireless communication.
Outside of work, Dr. Adibnazari enjoys spending his time with family and friends, cooking, rock climbing, and hiking. He also enjoys connecting with his community through outreach, education, and collaboration with artists on kinetic sculptures.
